Our family adores toasts with jam, crepes with jam, pancakes with jam, and simply drinking tea with jam. That’s why we always have some strawberry jam in the fridge. Just 20-25 minutes and you will enjoy it also)
2 kg strawberries
6 tbsp lemon juice
1.5 kg of sugar
Halve the berries, put them in non-metallic bowl, lightly crush with a large fork.
Put the crushed berries, accumulated juices and lemon juice in a large pan and bring to the boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5-10 minutes, stirring, or until the berries are soft.
Add sugar and stir over a low heat until it completely dissolves. Increase the heat and boil rapidly for 10-15 minutes, without stirring. Remove the pan from the heat. Leave the jam to cool and pour it into the prepared sterilized jars(7-8 x450 g). Store in a cool dark place. Refrigerate after opening.
