Apricot jam – bottle up summer

1,35 kg apricots

2 tbsp lemon juice

1,35 sugar

Summertime rolls around and you can benefit from it! I love bottling up this sunny season and enjoying it on toast during winter…

SO, let’s take orange-gold color smooth apricots. Halve and stone them. Put the apricots, lemon juice and 300 ml water into a large stainless-steel pan and bring to the boil. Reduce the heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 25 minutes, or until the fruits are tender and the mixture reduces by one-third.

Add the sugar to the pan and stir until completely dissolved. Increase the heat and bring the mixture to the boil, without stirring, for 10 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat. Pour the jam into the prepared jars and seal. Leave the jam to cool.

(Store in a cool and dark place until ready to use, refrigerate after opening.)

My advice is to include making jam into summer treats. It will definitely make you and your family happier)
